FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to use of a benzimidazole compound of general formula (1-1), or a salt of said compound as an anti-coccid, wherein general formula (1-1) is represented by the following structure: where R1 is: (b1) (C1-C8) alkyl; (b2) halogen-(C1-C8)alkyl; (b3) (C3-C8)cycloalkyl; (b4) (C1-C8)alkoxy(C1-C8)alkyl; or (b6) phenyl containing one substitute selected from (e) halogen-(C1-C6)alkoxy, (g) halogen-(C1-C6)alkylthio, (i) halogen-(C1-C6)alkylsulphinyl, (k) halogen-(C1-C6)alkylsulphonyl and (1) trimethylsilyl; X is O, S, SO, SO2 or NR2, where R2 is (C1-C6) alkyl; or R2 in NR2 can be combined with R1 to form together with the nitrogen atom to which R2 is attached, monosubstituted 6-membered saturated nitrogen-containing aliphatic heterocycle, where the substituent which may contain an aliphatic heterocycle is (C5-C8) alkylenedioxy, where alkylenedioxy is bonded to one carbon atom; Y is (c1) halogen; m is 0 or 1; Z is, in each case identical or different: (d1) halogen; or (d2) (C1-C8) alkyl; and n is 0, 1 or 2, where none of (C1-C8)alkylsulphonyl, (C1-C8)alkoxy (C1-C8)alkylsulphonyl, (C3-C8)cycloalkylsulphonyl and halogen-(C1-C8)alkylsulphonyl is not in position 2 and in position 4 of the pyridine ring and a method for controlling coccidia.
EFFECT: disclosed is use of compounds of general formula (1-1), which have excellent anti-coccid activity and can eliminate or minimize a massive outbreak of coccidosis.
