FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy of rare metals and can be used in the technology of extracting neodymium and praseodymium from solutions with low content and obtaining them in individual form. Method of separating neodymium and praseodymium involves contacting an extractant solution, which is solution of 0.08-0.12 M N,N,N',N'-tetrabutyl diglycolamide in a mixture of n-dodecane and decanol-1 at a volume ratio of 90:10 with an aqueous solution containing 0.1-5 g/l of neodymium and praseodymium sulphates, in terms of the sum of concentrations in terms of metal, in 1.8-2.2 M sulphuric acid.
EFFECT: enabling increase in the metal separation coefficients, reducing the number of separation stages of the extraction cascade.
