SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petrochemistry and oil refining and can be used in processes of heating oil stock in primary oil processing plants at oil refineries. Two-chamber furnace comprises a fan, a recuperator, a fuel combustion chamber, a gas duct, radiation and convection chambers, through which oil raw material moves in a counterflow with respect to heating gases, a chimney, oil feed and fuel supply pipelines, at that, it also comprises either a gas duct connecting the outlet from the combustion chamber to the inlet of the convection chamber and configured to supply 27% of the total flow rate of heating gases bypassing the radiation chamber to the inlet of the convection chamber for mixing with heating gases passing through the radiation chamber, or additional pipelines and an additional combustion chamber located at the convection chamber inlet, and configured to supply 27% of the total flow rate of heating gases bypassing the radiation chamber to the inlet of the convection chamber for mixing with heating gases that have passed through the radiation chamber. Method includes heating air forced by a fan in a recuperator, mixing heated air with fuel and directing into a combustion chamber to form heating gases for their successive movement through radiation and convection chambers in a countercurrent with respect to the heated oil stock, wherein heating gases are fed into furnace chambers in series-parallel manner by dividing them into two parts: 73% of the total consumption of heating gases is supplied directly to the radiation chamber and 27% – bypassing the radiation chamber to the inlet of the convection chamber for mixing with heating gases that have passed through the radiation chamber.

EFFECT: increased energy efficiency of radiation-convection heating of oil stock in two-chamber furnace.
