FIELD: communication.

SUBSTANCE: method, in which an output signal is generated by processing two signals: pulse per second synchronization (PPS) and information messages of IEC 61162-1-2016 protocol, wherein the method comprises steps of: upon detection of the edge of the PPS signal, the transition of the initial state (St0) to the state of transmitting an information message (St1) is carried out, if during the St1 state the PPS signal front appears, then the conclusion is made that the current or previous PPS signal is erroneous and the transition from the St1 state to the St0 state is performed, if the St1 state time has elapsed, then a transition to the PPS signal waiting state (St2) occurs, if during the St2 state time the PPS signal is not detected, then the error is diagnosed and the transition to the St0 state is performed, when a PPS signal is detected, the "line break" signal is removed and a transition is made to the state of transmitting a stop bit, no data transmission (St3), if during St3 state PPS signal appears, then it is concluded that previous or current signals are erroneous and transition from St3 state to St0 state is performed, if the time of the St3 state has expired, then the transition to the St1 state with a shortened timeout T1 takes place, the generated output signal is transmitted along one interface line Interface C2 to the receiving device.

EFFECT: transmission of the exact time marker and the information message of the IEC61162-1-2016 protocol over one circuit Interface C2 with provision of high accuracy of synchronization of devices with reference to real time without the need to use additional communication lines.
