SUBSTANCE: request is sent from at least one device at a substation to a time source. A message which includes an initial time instant is received from the time source. Accuracy of the initial time instant is evaluated. If the accuracy of the initial time instant is less than a threshold value, that accuracy is raised. The initial time instant is used for synchronisation.

EFFECT: high accuracy.
