FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water treatment and water treatment, namely to equipment used for production of desalted water from surface low-mineralized sources with high content of colloidal silicic acid for make-up of drum boilers operating under pressure of 100 kg/cm2 and higher. Apparatus for producing desalinated water includes an ion-exchange desalination unit, the inlet of which is configured to receive initial water, and the outlet is connected to the inlet of the membrane separation unit. Ion-exchange desalination unit includes a series-connected filter with a weakly acidic cationite, a filter with a strongly acidic cationite, a filter with a weakly basic anionite, a decarboniser, a filter with a layer-by-layer loading of weakly and strongly basic anionites of a two-chamber design.
EFFECT: minimization of capital and operating costs when obtaining desalinated water of the required quality due to reduction of consumption of reagents, electric power and water for own needs of the device.
