FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for fixation or connection of machine parts, namely to split key joints transmitting torque and axial load. Key joint comprises male part 13, female part 14, pair of keys-brackets 15 and bolts 4 with lock washers 5. Bottoms of combined key grooves of parts 13, 14 form a pair of male oppositely directed wedges, and inner surfaces of legs of the pair of keys-clamps form a pair of conjugated female wedges. Feet of key-brackets 15 enter diametrically opposite aligned key grooves of parts 13, 14 from opposite sides. Key grooves are located in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the key joint. Bracket keys are fixed on the enveloping part hub by bolts 4 with lock washers 5. Design preload is created in the keyed joint by tightening the bolts. Keyed connection has several versions differing by the number, shape of the keys-brackets and their fixation in the keyed connection.

EFFECT: easier assembly of key joint, reduced impact loads and wear of working surfaces of keys and key grooves.
