FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline transport and can be used for shutting off pipeline for technological purposes (assembly, repair, testing, etc.). Pipe shutoff device is assembled on pipeline flanges 1, 2 and comprises grips 3, 4 enclosing pipeline, rotary inserts 5, 6 arranged between grips to shut off and to pass flow of transported medium. Grips are made with U-shaped section for landing and attachment on external surfaces of pipeline flanges and are connected by mounting pins 7, 8, 9. Inserts made in form of blind and annular discs are fixed on rotary bracket 10, which is fitted on mounting pin 7. Grips 3, 4 are made in the form of extending yoke assembled from two semi-rings 14, 15. Opposite ends of semi-rings are connected by axle 16 and bolt 17 with possibility of semi-rings separation, their seating on flange and interference fit. Rotary bracket 10 has connector along axis of mounting hole and consists of two parts. Inserts are fixed on the bracket so that when using one of the inserts in the connection, the second is held by the bracket outside the flange connection. Mounting pin 7 is fixed in grip 1 along cylindrical surface with possibility of rotation relative to its axis, mounting pin 8 is fixed in grip 1 with possibility of rotation in plane of pipeline radial section, opposite sides of pins 7, 8 and mounting pins 9 are introduced into threaded joints with nuts 20, which are fixed in grips by means of spherical bearings 21. O-rings are made in the form of thin, flat ring base 23 with grooves on flat surfaces. Sealing graphite material 24 protruding above the flat surface of the ring is fixed in the grooves. Covering device is equipped with load-changing insert change mechanism, valve 31 to control presence of medium and to reduce pressure in pipeline.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of operational properties of pipeline shutoff device.
