FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: sensor system for registration of crop flow elements in a combine harvester contains an oscillating circuit and a measuring device. Oscillatory circuit consists of at least one capacitive structural element with a capacitance and one inductive structural element with inductance. Oscillating circuit has a resonant frequency which depends on capacitance and inductance. Measuring device is provided and configured to determine the resonance frequency of the oscillating circuit with a predetermined measurement frequency. Capacitive structural element is located in the area of crop flow and is configured to allow separate elements of crop flow to influence capacity. Sensor system is provided and configured to determine at least one property of the corresponding crop flow element based on the resonant frequency of the oscillating circuit. Value obtained by multiplying the measurement frequency by the length of the capacitive structural element in the direction of flow of the agricultural crop exceeds 2 m/s.

EFFECT: enabling creation of a sensor which provides more information on the detected elements.
