SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and can be used in shell-and-tube heat exchangers. Baffle for a shell-and-tube heat exchanger comprises a flat plate with a portion including a plurality of annular elements intended to receive tubes of the shell-and-tube heat exchanger arranged in at least two rows, wherein each row is staggered relative to adjacent row, wherein outer diameter of annular element is less than 130% of inner diameter of annular element, wherein every circular element is connected with all adjacent circular elements by web in plate plane oriented along line connecting centers of two adjacent circular elements to define multiple holes in plate. Present invention also discloses a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, a method for heating a liquid composition, method of stripping a liquid composition containing urea, carbamate, ammonia and water, and a method of producing a solid, dispersed composition based on urea.
EFFECT: distribution of steam condensate inside heat exchanger casing due to creation of partitions of new type.
