FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a copolymer of bimodal linear low-density polyethylene (B-LLDPE copolymer), an industrial article and a method of producing said copolymer. Copolymer B-LLDPE has density from 0.8900 g/cm3 to 0.9300 g/cm3; melt index (I2) from 0.1 g/10 min to 5 g/10 min; mass Mz from 600,000 to 1,900,000 g/mol; and IRS from 5.35 to 75 η*(1.0)/η*(100). Comonomer for producing said copolymer is 1-hexene, 1-butene or a combination thereof. Method of producing a B-LLDPE copolymer involves bringing ethylene and a comonomer into contact in a gas-phase polymerisation reactor containing a fluidised bed of resin, with a molar ratio of the comonomer and ethylene from 0.005 to 0.30 with a bimodal catalyst system containing bis[(2-pentamethylphenylamido)ethyl]amine zirconium dibenzyl in the presence of molecular hydrogen gas.

EFFECT: obtained copolymer of bimodal linear low-density polyethylene has a combination of improved properties, including at least one processability characteristic similar to that of unmixed monomodal CN-LLDPE or better, and impact resistance at instantaneous impact, similar to that for unmixed monomodal MCN-LLDPE or better.
