FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an ethylene polymer, a method for production thereof, which involves treatment of a polyolefin base resin with peroxide to obtain an ethylene polymer, and subsequent use of the ethylene polymer to produce articles. Ethylene polymer has an HLMI of less than or equal to 12 g/10 min, Mw in range of 200,000 to 550,000 g/mol, Mn in range from 18,000 to 48,000 g/mol, parameter CY-a less than or equal to 0.12, tan δ at 0.1 s-1 in range from 0.5 to 0.9 degrees, tan δ at 100 s-1 in range from 0.5 to 0.75 degrees and viscosity at 0.001 s-1 in range of 1.3×106 to 1×107 Pa⋅s. Method of producing an ethylene polymer includes steps of bringing a base resin into contact with a peroxide compound to obtain an ethylene polymer, where the step for bringing the base resin into contact with the peroxide compound comprises moulding the mixture of the base resin and the peroxide compound at a suitable temperature of moulding from the melt, where the amount of the peroxide compound ranges from more than 200 to 500 ppm wt. peroxide groups per weight of base resin. Also described are articles containing an ethylene polymer with said characteristics.
EFFECT: providing an ethylene polymer with differentiation of swelling of the extruded flow and weight swelling, which makes it possible to independently control the weight of the part; besides, treatment with peroxide increases strength of the polymer melt.
