FIELD: nanobiotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nanobiotechnology and can be used in the chemical industry for microbial reduction of selenite and tellurite to elementary selenium and tellurium in the form of nanoparticles. The method for obtaining biogenic selenium and tellurium nanoparticles includes aerobic cultivation of gram-negative microorganisms in Zobell 2216 marine broth, including solutions of selenite and tellurite, using strains of Pseudoalteromonas shioyasakiensis bacteria, and selenium and tellurium nanoparticles are obtained with an organic layer on the surface.
EFFECT: proposed method for the production of biogenic selenium and tellurium nanoparticles provides the production of selenium and tellurium nanoparticles with a thin organic layer on the surface of extracellular polysaccharides of the microorganism, which prevents the agglomeration of particles.
