FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary science, in particular to an agent affecting the quantity and quality of oocyte-cumulus complexes in donor cows. When introducing into the basic ration the phyto-additive of dry milled herb Origanum vulgare – oregano into the feedstuff to donor cows in amount of 0.050 kg per day for 10 days, oocyte-cumulus complexes are recovered in donor cows by 10.5% more than in the control group. Of these, the number of oocyte-cumulus complexes suitable for fertilization increased by 16%. It has been established that there are 19% more oocyte-cumuluscomplexes suitable for fertilization in the experimental group than in the control group (5.0±0.55 versus 4.2±0.58) (p > 0.05).

EFFECT: use of the invention will make it possible to increase quantitative and qualitative indices of oocyte-cumulus complexes in cows-donors in vitro.
