FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, particularly to erection of suspended buildings in seismically hazardous areas. Multi-storey earthquake-resistant suspended building consists of a foundation, a central bearing shaft, a cantilever grillage and floor slabs. Floor slabs are suspended to the grillage by means of suspensions and are connected to the bearing shaft. Building is equipped with stiffness diaphragms combining floor slabs into blocks of floors with independent suspension of each block to the grillage. Blocks of floors are connected to each other through connecting links, and with bearing shaft through disconnecting links.
EFFECT: ensuring resistance of the building to seismic effects due to damping of vibrations of parts of the building by creating inertial forces opposite in sign to the perturbing effect, the energy of vibrations is spent on overcoming them; this allows maintaining integrity of structures in conditions of earthquake.
