FIELD: printing.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of security printing, namely to a secure data medium with an optically variable effect, to a method for production thereof and a counterfeit-proof document. Group of inventions can be used in production of banknotes, securities, passports, excise stamps, identification documents and other security printing products. Protected data medium with optically variable effect includes a paper base, on at least one section of which there is a protective element in the form of a microtext and/or a microimage with a printed varnish applied on it, and an array of microlenses is made on the surface of the printed varnish. Method of obtaining a protected data medium with an optically variable effect is characterized by the fact that microtext and/or microimages of at least one colour are applied on a portion of a paper substrate in the form of geometric figures, and/or an alphabetic symbol, and/or a digital symbol, on top of which printing lacquer is applied by screen printing, or flexographic, or ink-jet, or offset, or intaglio printing, wherein microlens array is formed on printed lacquer surface by metallographic colourless stamping and/or relief stamping and/or blind stamping. Counterfeit-protected document, such as a check, a share, a banknote, an excise stamp, a federal special stamp, a passport, an identification card, a travel document or a ticket, includes at least one protected data medium with an optically variable effect.
EFFECT: creation of a new technology of security printing, which provides high efficiency of visual security features based on the microlens effect.
