FIELD: printing industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of protected printing industry and can be used in the manufacture of banknotes, securities, identification documents and concerns a protected information carrier with an optically variable effect and a method for manufacturing it. Information carrier is characterized by the appearance in the reflected light of a uniformly colored field or image, and in transmitted light, by smoothly changing the polarity of the latent image and/or by the motion of the moire stripes. Performed on a paper, polymer or composite basis, and comprises at least one region of enhanced transparency, wherein at least one colored raster structure in the form of lines is applied to the said region on both sides of the carrier. Difference in the periods of the raster structures of the front and back sides is from 0.01 to 100 mcm or from 0 to 20 %, and the angle between the front and back side of the section is from 0 to 10 degrees. Elements of the raster structures of each of the sides have at least one zone with a formed latent image, which may be different from the other, or the presence of a shift and/or the magnitude of the period and/or the presence of an angle with respect to lines located on the other side of the carrier, while the latent image zones can change the polarity and/or the moire stripes in one direction and/or opposite directions can move along them.
EFFECT: invention provides the creation of new reliable hidden information images possessing a stable volumetric, optical effect, which is reflected in reflected light in the form of a uniformly colored field or image, and in transmitted light, a smooth change in the polarity of the latent image and/or the motion of the moire fringes, the latent image zones can change the polarity and/or the moire fringes in one direction and/or opposite directions can move along them.
