FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of material in form of a film of single-wall carbon nanotubes, functionalised with oxygen-containing functional groups, which can be used as a component of a gas diffusion layer in low-temperature fuel cells, as a component of electrodes in chemical current sources, in low-temperature fuel cells, as well as a component of film conductors. Single-wall carbon nanotubes are mixed with sulphuric acid, then potassium permanganate is added with constant stirring. Reaction mixture is filtered through a fluoroplastic membrane. Intermediate product is dispersed in an ice/water mixture, the mixture is cooled to 0 °C and hydrogen peroxide solution is added. Obtained mixture is filtered on a paper filter. Precipitate is dispersed in distilled water to obtain single-wall carbon nanotubes functionalised with oxygen-containing functional groups. Modified single-wall carbon nanotubes are dispersed in distilled water by ultrasonic action and mechanical stirring. Finished dispersion is passed through a paper filter. Obtained wet film is washed with propanol-2, dried in air, after which it is separated from the paper filter.
EFFECT: invention improves mechanical strength and electrical characteristics of the obtained material, increases environmental friendliness of the process and reduces process costs.
