FIELD: special printed matter; physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to security features of information media, such as banknotes, excise stamps, passwords, etc., by marking them with a special luminescent pigment, as well as methods of detecting protective features and determining their numerical characteristics using instrumental methods and devices. As protective features, features of kinetics of marking luminescent pigments are offered, consisting in the fact that when the luminescent pigment is exposed to one or a series of excitation radiation pulses unchanged in intensity and spectrum, the corresponding luminescence pulses of the luminescent pigments contain local intensity maxima achieved strictly before the end of the corresponding exciting radiation pulse, and values of maximum luminescence intensities achieved in each next luminescence pulse of luminescent pigments are successively reduced. Described are methods for instrumental detection of a security feature and determination of its numerical characteristics, luminescent compounds having said properties, and valuable documents marked with said compounds.
EFFECT: proposed technical solution extends the range of authenticity features, including authenticity features determined using instrumental control methods.
