FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy and can be used for electrochemical corrosion protection of underground metal structures in contact with electrically conductive aggressive media, as well as in chemical industry during electrochemical processes of producing fertilizers and in machine building during electrolysis of manufactured articles. Proposed method comprises grinding initial material based on iron oxides, impregnating powder with binding composition to produce working mix, pressing anode workpieces and sintering them in vacuum with subsequent cooling. Initial material used is scrap and wastes of metallurgical production, which are additionally subjected to magnetic separation. Grinding is carried out to fraction of 5-50 mcm to obtain magnetite-containing powder. Binder composition is used, which contains 3 % solution of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and bentonite at the ratio of bentonite : 3 % PVA solution equal to (0.9-1.1):(9.8-10.2). Ratio of the magnetite-containing powder to the binding composition in the working mixture is (90-98):(2-10), respectively, and pressing of workpieces is carried out by isostatic method.
EFFECT: wider range of magnetite-containing anodes, having improved bending strength properties and intended for cathodic corrosion protection systems, while reducing power consumption for their manufacture due to recycling of metallurgical production wastes.
