Disclosed is a method of decoding an image, comprising: determining whether a colour copying mode for the current chromaticity block of a first colour space in an image is supported, wherein the colour copying mode is a prediction mode of the current chromaticity block of the first colour space using the luma block of the second colour space restored before the current chromaticity block; subsampling a luma block corresponding to the current chromaticity block in response to determining that the colour copying mode for the current chromaticity block is supported; deriving correlation information for a colour copying mode based on a predetermined reference area, wherein the correlation information represents a correlation between the current chromaticity block and the luma unit, and the correlation information is expressed by a weight parameter and an offset parameter to be applied to the subsampled luma unit; and prediction of the current chroma block by applying the correlation information to the subsampled luma block.
