SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rotary cutting tools. Rotary cutting tool comprises replaceable cutting head and tool holder. Replaceable cutting head comprises front cutting section and rear mounting section. Mounting section contains a male connecting element with an external thread formed by means of external internal and external cylinders. External thread has concave-curvilinear recesses of the external thread, each of which converges with the corresponding straight external loaded surface at the first point of the external thread recess. First point of the external thread recess is spaced from the external internal cylinder by the first external radial distance. First external radial distance is more than one-third and less than two-thirds of the height of the external thread. Tool holder comprises female connector with internal thread. When the rotating cutting tool is in the locked position, the external thread engages in a threaded manner with the internal thread.
EFFECT: replaceable cutting head has external thread with improved distribution of mechanical stress concentration.
