FIELD: mechanical engineering; cutting tools. SUBSTANCE: proposed unit has longitudinal axle and cutting head which is held and can be disconnected by means of tool holder. Cutting head has cutting part and connecting member made integral with cutting part. Tool holder contains connecting member for engagement with connecting member of cutting head formed inside space open at end faces. To facilitated and improve reliability of connection of head and holder, several butt-joining projections are made on connecting member of tool holder, and corresponding group of equally peripherally spaced radially directed support projections are made on connecting member of cutting head. Said butt-joining projections pass between support projections following each other, and cutting head can be turned to align butt-joining projections with support projections with arrangement of the first ones on the second ones, with possibility of adjoining and provision of clamping of cutting head on tool holder.
