SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building. Horizontal hydraulic damper comprises a reservoir with a working cylinder arranged in it, in the upper part of the working cylinder there is a rod guide, in the central axial hole of which there is a movable rod equipped with a piston, as well as a reservoir nut in the upper part of the reservoir and a compression valve in its lower part. Inner cavity of the working cylinder is divided by a piston into a rod part and a piston part. At least one drain tube is installed in the recuperative cavity between the reservoir and the cylinder.

EFFECT: increased stability, reliability, service life and long-term flexible symmetric characteristic of the device as to resistance forces, as well as exclusion of airing and foaming in the recuperative cavity.
