FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Hydraulic damper includes a housing in which a cylinder is coaxially installed to form a recuperative cavity. Piston with rod are arranged in the cylinder. Valve unit is installed in conical bore of cylinder bottom and comprises check valve. Guide tightly closes cylinder from top and comprises stem seal assembly and housing seal. Rod sealing assembly contains two sealing elements, one of which seals the rod cavity, and the other one - a recuperative cavity. Seal of the housing seals the gap between the body tube and the guide and is made in the form of a rubber ring, a nut clamped through the washer and an additional washer, screwed into the body tube by a thread. Contact surfaces of the additional washer and nut are made as spherical or conical. Groove for installation of the rubber ring of the body seal has in the cross-section in the first part the shape of the rectangular trapezium, and in the second part, which is the continuation of the first part, is the shape of the right triangle.
EFFECT: higher reliability of hydraulic damper due to uniformly tight along the whole circumference pressing of rubber ring and increase in its density of contact with surfaces of housing pipe and guide, which excludes in operation cases of oil leaks on sealing of housing.
