FIELD: electroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroacoustics, in particular to audio systems, and specifically to a two-way line array element for forming a cylindrical (toroidal) wave front in the entire operating frequency range.
EFFECT: elimination or reduction of at least one of the disadvantages of known devices or at least creation of an alternative device to known devices, which enables to combine sound fields emitted by two or more compression drivers, and effectively adding these fields into a single homogeneous field to achieve high levels of sound pressure and providing the ability to control parameters of the system (frequency range, beam patterns, dimensions of the radiator).
