FIELD: electroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroacoustics. The combined sound emitter contains a system of waveguides, the cross-sectional area of which increases uniformly from the throat to the mouth of the waveguide, forming a horn. The design of the waveguides is such that the time of arrival of the sound wave from the compression drivers is the same for all rectangular holes in the mouths of the waveguides. A compression driver is attached to the throat of each waveguide, the mouth of each waveguide is formed by two adjacent rectangular holes, the distance between which does not exceed half the wavelength of the upper reproducible frequency. In this case, a cylindrical or toroidal wave front is formed at the cut of each rectangular hole.
EFFECT: increase in sound pressure level, control of such system parameters as frequency range, radiation pattern, radiator dimensions.
