FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery and orthopaedics, and can be used for treating a bone marrow osteomyelitis cavity of tibia. When opening the cavity, a longitudinal groove is formed along the entire length of the involved portion of the medullary canal; necrotic tissues and sequestra are removed along the entire length of the medullary canal. Opposite wall of cavity is longitudinally dissected and groove is formed. Bone is cut at the ends of the formed slot. Edges of the two formed bone fragments are aligned on one of the surfaces of the groove. In the postoperative period, the bone edges are gradually moved towards each other until the bone shape is restored along the entire length of the involved medullary canal.
EFFECT: method provides improved anatomical and functional results, restoration of natural contours of the involved bone area, preservation of integrity of the medullary canal shape throughout the length of treatment due to peculiarities of fixation.
