FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing cavity with parallel lateral walls, washing wound, filling it with gauze tampons at the first stage of operation during surgical treatment. 3-4 weeks later, when inflammation drops down and wound covers with healthy granulation, the second stage of operation is carried out to cut out cortical chip and make traction by means of compression-distraction apparatus until contact with the opposite wall of the cavity is achieved. The walls being long enough, the cavity is divided into segments to bring the walls in parallel relation under condition of minimum resection volume. The chip, after its being cut out, is divided into fragments corresponding in length to the cavity segments. Then traction is carried out on each segment until contact with the opposite wall of the cavity is achieved. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in bone cavities substitution. 2 cl
