FIELD: data processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of processing radar information and can be used to quickly generate a representative amount of initial data for training systems for recognizing ground and surface equipment on radar images. In the method, all facets of the model are read, the model is divided into elementary facets, the shaded facets are searched, the amplitudes of the reflected signals from the visible facets are calculated and the radar image matrix is formed, according to the invention, 3D model of the target is divided into elementary facets with a side smaller than the resolution element, 3D model of the underlying surface is formed and combined with 3D model of the target, in addition to amplitudes of signals reflected from facets, reflections from edges formed by them are calculated and a radar image matrix is formed by summation of reflected signals taking into account phase in each resolution element without a stage of synthesizing the aperture and convolution of the formed matrix with the pulse characteristic of the probing signal.

EFFECT: high speed of constructing a simulation radar image based on a three-dimensional model of a target.
