FIELD: producing decorative effects.

SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method of encrusting a memorial, which includes forming a template for determining the size of recess 2 and forming a pattern of the mosaic composition of the memorial, selecting materials for fragments of the mosaic composition, wherein the fragments of the mosaic composition are laid out on the template, then the outer contours of the mosaic composition are transferred from the template to base 1 of the memorial, at least one recess 2 is cut out along the obtained contours, which is characterized by distance r1≥1 cm between recess 2 in base 1 of the memorial and the side edge of base 1, distance r2≥2.5 cm between recess 2 in base 1 of the memorial and the lower edge of base 1 and the distance r3 in base 1 of the memorial from recess 2 in base 1 of the memorial, wherein r3 is the starting point of the cut of the memorial at angle of 20°<α<60°, which is determined by the minimum permissible level of filling 3 of recess 2 on the lower plane and the wall of obtained recess 2, for subsequent removal of the upper layer at said angle α and forming a lateral section of the memorial from r3 to r2, wherein temperature seam 5 is initially formed to prevent destruction of walls of base 1 during thermal expansion of fragments of filling components 4, further, the lower plane of recess 2 above expansion joint 5 is filled with fraction 6 of the minimum permissible layer thickness of 1.5 cm in order to avoid overexpenditure of filling components 4 and translucence of the stone bottom of recess 2 of base 1, filling components 4 not lower than filling level 3 are placed on top of layer of fraction 6, wherein filling components 4 are fragments of a mosaic composition, which are filled with a filling material to obtain a monolithic structure, after complete hardening of filling materials, formed cavity 2 filled with filling components 4 is subjected to mechanical treatment, at an angle α cutting the upper layer of base 1 and the upper layer of filling components 4, further obtained bevel at an angle α ground and polished, finally, the cleaned and defatted bevel surface is treated with a reinforcing impregnation.

EFFECT: reliability, production and operational manufacturability of the method of encrusting the memorial.
