FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of manufacturing mosaic images from natural or artificial light stone, in which the grooves are cut on the preform from the natural / artificial stone along the given contour, wherein the geometry and the width of the slits are set taking into account the distance between the mosaic elements, the base substrate is adhered on the groove side, then the preform side opposite to the base substrate is cut till the grooves appear, and the surface of the preforms is coloured in accordance with the given pattern in such a way that the stone is colored to the adjustable depth, in particular to the entire depth of the grooves, wherein while colouring, the applied colour image positioning is performed with respect to the contour-groove so that the desired colour fragment matches its contour. Method of manufacturing mosaic images from natural or artificial light stone, in which the preform from natural / artificial stone with a thickness of, at least, 0.4 mm is connected to the removable (sacrificial) substrate, then grooves are cut through the stone preform along the given mosaic pattern contour, wherein the geometry and the width of the slits are set taking into account the distance between the mosaic elements, then the preform side opposite to the side with the substrate being removed is firmly connected to the base substrate, after which the sacrificial substrate is removed and the preform surface is coloured at the front side in accordance with the given pattern in such a way that the stone is coloured to the adjustable depth, in particular to the entire depth of the grooves, wherein while colouring, the applied colour image positioning is performed with respect to the contour-groove so that the desired colour fragment matches its contour.

EFFECT: reducing the labour intensity of manufacturing mosaic patterns, simplifying the process of manufacturing mosaics, increasing the product tensile strength when bending due to the tight fit of the joints and their length.
