FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing crystalline form A of asciminib hydrochloride, the X-ray powder diffraction pattern of which contains reflections at 2-theta angle values of 12.6 ± 0.2°, 17.0 ± 0.2°, 18.9 ± 0.2°, 20.9 ± 0.2° and 32.5 ± 0.2°, measured at temperature in range from 20 to 25 °C using radiation of Cu-K-alpha1.2 with wavelength 0.1541 Å. Method is carried out by dissolving asciminib in a mixture of hydrochloric acid and methanol; adding tert-butyl methyl ether to the mixture and separating crystalline form A of asciminib hydrochloride.
EFFECT: obtaining a thermodynamically stable crystalline form of asciminib hydrochloride.
