FIELD: animal husbandry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of caring for domestic animals living in a human dwelling, namely, to litter of an animal toilet, in particular, to litter for a toilet on a natural basis. Pet litter is made in the form of granules and contains sunflower seeds shell as the main raw material. Litter additionally contains binding substance – phosphatide concentrate in amount of 1.5-2.0 wt.%, concentrate of pine or larch bark extractive substances in amount of 10.0-15.0 wt.% and a composition consisting of sodium bicarbonate and silicon oxide in amount of 2.5-5.0 wt.%. Sunflower seed shell makes 78.0-86.0 wt.%.
EFFECT: improved hygiene level of a pet toilet, including high water absorption and absorption of a specific odour, effective cleaning of the toilet, antimicrobial properties, a disinfectant effect, and absence of dust.
