FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to a method for controlling bionic prostheses using a brain-computer interface based on spectroscopy in the near infrared range. Preliminary mapping of cerebral cortex is performed. Cerebral activation zones are established. Elastic band-cap (2) with holes (3) is put on, into which four LED emitters (4) with emitted wavelengths of 760 and 850 nm each and one sensor (5) are installed above the cerebral activation zone. Infrared radiation is emitted alternately at intervals of several hundredths of a second. Radiation transmitted through the cerebral cortex is recorded from each emitter. Electrical signal is transmitted to a recording device. Obtained analogue signal is converted into a digital signal and transmitted via wires or a radio channel to a microcomputer. Using a pre-trained artificial neural network, mental commands of a human operator are recognized.
EFFECT: high reliability of recognizing motion patterns.
