SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to clinical and laboratory diagnostics, cardiology, and can be used for prediction of acute myocardial infarction in patients suffering new coronavirus infection. Blood homocysteine is measured. Probability of acute myocardial infarction is calculated taking into account patient’s age by formula:

where p=(1/(1+e-z))*100%; p is the probability of developing acute myocardial infarction in percentage; e=2.72; z=0.257X1+0.141X2-11.956, where X1 is homocysteine level, mcmol/l; X2 is age, years.
EFFECT: method enables accurate prediction of acute myocardial infarction in patients after a new coronavirus infection by determining the blood homocysteine content taking into account the age of the patients.
