FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to seismic research and can be used in engineering seismology to assess seismic resistance of soils covering underground tunnels. During movement of the subway electric train along the walls of the tunnel and, accordingly, in the covering layer of soil, including the day surface, intense elastic effects are distributed, which to some extent change the state of the soil layer after each passage of the electric train. In particular, it can be, for example, insignificant compaction or decompaction of soil, change of spectrum of transfer function H/V, etc. Therefore, by examining seismic records in the intervals between subway trains, calculating the seismic intensity increment and comparing, for example, such a seismogram parameter as the vulnerability coefficient in time, it is possible to conclude on the stable or unstable behaviour of soils at the measurement point. Besides, conducting such investigations over metro tunnels by area, it is possible to construct a schematic map of seismic microzoning (SMZ), from which it is easy to estimate seismic resistance of soil mass. Result is achieved due to use of vulnerability coefficient and increment of seismic intensity during implementation of the method, calculation of which is performed in time intervals when there is no movement of subway trains.

EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the assessment of seismic vulnerability (seismic resistance) of the soil layer covering the subway tunnel.
