FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to information technology and can be used to detect security problems on a virtual machine disk located in a cloud provider. Method comprises the steps of: at least once forming a copy of the file system of the virtual machine disk at a given moment in time by means of a data access program interface (API) of a cloud provider; creating a new disk from said copy of the file system by means of a cloud provider API; mounting the created disk to a separate virtual machine; and analysing said disc on said separate virtual machine.
EFFECT: high efficiency of searching for security problems on virtual machines in a user infrastructure located in a public cloud service.
