FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of ground-based thermal tests of suspended aircraft weapons (SAW) in order to determine the temperature field of SAW during aerodynamic heating. Disclosed is a method for determining the temperature field of SAW during aerodynamic heating by conducting a thermal experiment on a test bench, which includes stages of SAW placement in bench casing and heating of SAW outer surface with heated air flow, temperature and heat transfer coefficient of which vary in time as well as in flight. During experiment, additional heating of SAW outer surface area is performed, on which there is interference of aircraft elements and SAW in flight, with a jet of heated air with a heat transfer coefficient equal to the heat transfer coefficient in the area of compression shock fall on the boundary layer in flight, and with temperature equal to the temperature of air heating the outer surface of the SAW, wherein the angle of incidence of said air jet on the SAW is equal to the angle of incidence of the shock wave on the boundary layer in flight.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining the temperature field of the SAW during aerodynamic heating while reducing labour intensity of the experiment.
