FIELD: ammunition; measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to research and evaluation of effectiveness of ammunition damaging factors and can be used to determine characteristics of fragmentation action of ammunition. Method of determining air impact parameters of fragmentation fields of explosive projectiles is based on formation of fragmentation field and complete covering of input walls of simulator of standard compartment of target, installed within ballistic route, registration, recording and further processing of signals from sensors placed inside a ballistic route and inside a simulator of a standard compartment of a target. Process of separation of the formed fragmentation field is organized, thus providing the specified localization and concentration of hitting elements hitting points on the input walls of the simulator of a standard target compartment. Simulator of a standard compartment of a target is equipped with mass-dimensional models of equipment and units. Determined kinematic and energy characteristics of the echelon fragmentation field, as well as the determined space-time and energy characteristics of the shock-wave structure generated inside the simulator of the standard target compartment. Performing automated fault detection of a simulator of a standard compartment of a target. Nature, degree and regularity of destruction of the simulator of the standard compartment of the target due to the air impact, with the combined use of the obtained data on the results of automated fault detection, the determined characteristics of the echelon fragmentation field and the shock-wave structure generated by it is determined.
