SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ammunition testing and can be used in conducting comparative tests of remote ammunition by the damaging effect. The method consists in determining the specific characteristics of the damaging effect of a remote munition during the tests, automatically calculating the partial values of the indicators of the damaging effect of a remote munition, obtaining the dependencies linking the indicators characterising the damaging effect of the field of damage of the remote munition with the values of the physical factors thereof with the minimum amount of tests required. Additionally, qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the remote ammunition is conducted. For quantitative evaluation, a complex indicator of the damaging effect of each remote munition is calculated using the ratios between the complex indicators of the ammunition for comparison.
EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of increasing the promptness, accuracy and fullness of automated comparative evaluation of competing remote ammunition by the damaging effect and of reducing the labour intensity of the tests.
