FIELD: packing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making packages with an edge flange passing along the perimeter. In the method, tray parts are provided, at least partially forming the bottom and side walls of trays, from cardboard, dense cardboard, corrugated cardboard, paper or cellulose-containing flat material and aprons put on them, having in each case a flat continuous edge flange passing along the perimeter with the same thickness, made of cardboard, dense cardboard, corrugated cardboard or paper. At least one lower part of the matrix is provided with a recess made to receive the tray part with a hole on the upper end and with a flat continuous lower clamping surface passing along the perimeter at a constant height around the recess hole and made for continuous contact with the edge flange. At least one upper part of the matrix is provided with a flat continuous upper clamping surface passing along the perimeter at a constant height and adapted to the lower clamping surface. One of the tray parts is inserted into the recess and one of the aprons is put on the lower pressing surface of the lower part of the matrix with the edge flange; the barrier film is placed over the apron and the tray part with overlapping of the edge flange. Barrier film is pressed to the upper side of the apron and the tray part and connected to them to form a tray. Tray is filled with the product, the sealing film is placed over the tray with overlapping of the edge flange. Upper part of the matrix continuously presses the sealing film along the perimeter while maintaining a flat continuous edge flange passing along the perimeter with the same thickness to the upper side of the barrier film on the edge flange and tightly connected to it. By means of the same lower and upper parts of the matrix packages are made, in which tray parts differ in different thickness, and/or by means of the same lower and upper parts of the matrix packages are made, the aprons of which differ from each other by different thicknesses.
EFFECT: ensuring a reduction in the complexity of manufacturing packages with a perimeter edge flange made of cellulose-containing flat material and with a barrier film of varying thickness.
