FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used to control excitation of brushless synchronous generators supplying electric energy to critical consumers sensitive to duration of voltage dips and overvoltages. In the two-channel excitation controller, consisting of a proportional-integral control channel with the introduction of local rigid feedback on the excitation voltage of the main generator and a control channel optimal in terms of speed, in the second control channel, a procedure for correction of durations of intervals of optimum control in terms of speed and the required steady-state value of the output signal of the controller is introduced.
EFFECT: minimization of duration of overvoltage and voltage drop in transient modes, as well as provision of required accuracy of voltage stabilization in all other modes of operation of brushless synchronous generator.
