SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural production. Method of crushing tall-stalked crop residues and treatment of soil involves bending of high-stalked crop residues, their retention in a horizontal position, grinding into fractions and treatment of soil without turnover after the grinding process. Before milling, the stems are cut longitudinally and the shoots and root system are separated from the main stem. After soil treatment, its middle part is compacted and the upper part is mulched. At the same time after harvesting tall-stalked plants vertical treatment of soil is carried out for grinding of tall-stalked crop residues and they are mixed with soil. Aerial photography is carried out with resolution of not more than 50 cm/pixel at a height of not more than 1 m and at a speed of not more than 3 m/s. To determine the quality of grinding, the data obtained during aerial photography are subjected to computer processing using the mathematical program Matlab and compared with agricultural requirements. In case these requirements are not met, the tillage machine additionally passes through the field, crushes high-stalk crop residues with vertical soil treatment again. Turbodisk cultivator with wavy discs is used as a tillage machine.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of controlling crushing of tall-stalked crop residues and soil treatment, as well as increasing crushing efficiency.
