FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machine building. Device contains a receiving chamber, a drive mechanism, two cylindrical drums made of longitudinal rubberized rods and installed in series one after another. Distance between the rods of the lower drum is less than that of the upper one. Drums are installed vertically, material is supplied to sorting drums by vertical screw installed inside drums, in which the angle of inclination of the turn to the screw shaft γ in the direction opposite to the movement of the material, exceeds the rolling angle of tuberous roots ψ, but less than the angle of their friction against the material of the screw casing. Helical line elevation angle ϕ less than the rolling angle of tuberous roots to prevent their rolling in the direction opposite to movement. Sorted tuberous roots are discharged along annular trays encircling the drums at the point of output of each fraction and inclined to the horizon at an angle exceeding the rolling angle of the tuberous roots.
EFFECT: simplification of the design of devices for post-harvest processing of root crops.
