FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to poultry farming, and can be used in feeding broiler chickens during industrial meat production. In the method for activating the innate immunity of broiler chickens, a water extract of Leuzea carthamoides roots (Rhaponticum carthamoides L.), standardized for the phytosteroid ecdisten with concentration of 0.505%, is additionally introduced into the phase complete feedstuffs, in amount of 170 g/ton in the starting and growth fodders and 210 g/ton in the finishing fodder, providing an ecdisten content of 0.9 g/ton in the starting and growth fodders and 1.1 g/ton in the finishing fodder.
EFFECT: activation of innate immunity of broiler chickens by increasing expression of genes associated with inflammatory process and antimicrobial protection.
