FIELD: biotechnology; animal breeding.
SUBSTANCE: method of feeding newborn calves is proposed, characterized by the fact that the diet from the second feeding of colostrum includes the therapeutic and preventive phytobiotic fodder additive "Pharmatan P" individually at rate of 5 g per head 2 times day for 60 days daily in combination with probiotic "Vetom 1" in dose of 50 mg/kg of live weight once day for 10 days daily.
EFFECT: invention provides higher growth and development of calves and preservation of their viability.
