FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a system for electric starter start of a thermal engine with standby inertial mass 3, comprising a high-speed DC motor 1 with electromagnetic excitation and power supply from a lead-acid battery. On the armature shaft of electric motor 1 there is freewheel clutch 2 made with the possibility of connecting electric motor 1 with the reserve inertial mass 3 connected to reduction gear 4, on the output shaft of which differential 5 is fixed, made with possibility of distributing the transmitted rotation to brake mechanism 6 and to overrunning clutch 7 with electromagnetic traction relay 8 configured to engage starter drive gear 9 with gear rim 10 of flywheel of engine 11.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at development of a system for electric starter start of a thermal engine with a reserve inertial mass in order to reduce weight and dimensions and starting current in the starter and to ensure the required reliability of its operation.
