FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, specifically to propulsion engineering, and can be used in mobile and stationary machines where internal combustion engines are used. System of electric starter start of thermal engine with torque convertor includes high-speed DC electric motor with electromagnetic excitation and power supply from storage battery. Torque converter is fitted on high-speed electric motor armature shaft. Torque convertor comprises housing with pump wheel, fixed reactor wheel and driven turbine wheel. At output spline end of torque converter shaft there is gear of starter drive, moved by solenoid in engagement with toothed rim of flywheel.

EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the starter and engine starting in general.
