FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of determining volume and mass gas/steam content of moving two-phase flow in pipeline, in which on measuring horizontal cylindrical section of pipeline with inner diameter din, length L, coefficient of hydraulic friction λcm, volume flow rate Q, temperature T and pressure P are measured in the inlet section, the pressure drop Δpfr.cm by means of a device in the form of interconnected piezometers in a two-phase flow between the inlet and outlet sections and volumetric φ or mass k gas/steam content in section at inlet of measuring section is determined by relationship:

where Δpfr is friction pressure drop, determined for single-phase flow with mass flow rate G=G', Δpfr.cm is the friction pressure drop, determined for the two-phase flow with mass flow rate Gcm=G'+G'', ρ' is density of liquid phase, ρ'' is density of gas/steam phase, β is the two-phase flow losses dimensionless characteristic, reduced to the single-phase flow similar in speed losses, which depends only on the gas mass content k:
EFFECT: possibility of determining gas/steam content in a two-phase medium without sampling and using expensive equipment.
